Apologies for a lack of newsletters recently – here’s an end of term letter…
We raised over £100 at the Christmas Market – many thanks for your generosity.
The building work for the new kitchen / classroom is well under way. Unfortunately it will cause the normal running of school to be disrupted from time to time. Your patience and understanding with the long wait is appreciated.
Sadly we are not able to offer a Christmas dinner to the wider community this year due to the difficult situation of the catering at the moment. Hopefully next year, when the new building is complete we will be able to have a proper Christmas dinner with the village.
Our Christmas concert will take place on Wednesday 16th Dec in the church at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. This will include a traditional nativity and an interesting take on the Christmas story with songs and acting, as well as our now traditional ’12 days of Christmas’ so bring your singing voices along!! All welcome…
Party Day – Friday 18th Dec
We will have a play day and party on Friday 18th Dec. Children will be allowed to bring in toys and games to play with but please be sensible – nothing that needs to plugged in and nothing very expensive or with small parts that may go missing. These toys and games do tend to get dropped, prodded and dragged. It will be a non-uniform day.
Mrs Jenny Kitchen
Some of you may remember Mrs Kitchen, the wife of Mr Kitchen, my predecessor, who taught in school. Sadly she died last week after a long battle with illness.
